Identifying the Problem to be Solved
Name: ____________________________
Developing a Design Brief: SOLVE the problem through research
You have spent time previously developing skills with voicethread.
Now you will use this platform to evaluate and explain the Google Apps assigned to your year level.
You will use this template ONCE for each App.

You will be undertaking MORE THAN ONE mini Design Cycle in this voicethread unit to make one BIG product.
You learned a good deal about design and presentation in our documentary video unit. This unit will be RESEARCH HEAVY.
THE PROBLEM
You need to develop a better understanding of Google Apps to organize yourselves, share and collaborate better with peers and teachers.
In order to do so you will use the design cycle to present research findings to explain and critique the Apps assigned.
You will do so based on the Guiding Research Questions & Final Statement below.
You will need to learn about the products in greater detail before you can offer your critique and recommendations on them.

Guiding Research Questions & Final Statement
1. What is the purpose of the App?
2. How does it work (with a detailed explanation <numerous slides better here>)?
3. How can students use it?
4. How could a school use it?
5. What are the benefits of this app?
6. What are the drawbacks?
7. My recommendation:

7. My recommendation:
- Students should use this app
- This app is not worth using
- It would be better to use _(alternative)_

Evaluating your Use of the Design Cycle
On a scale of 1-6 (1 is poor, 6 is optimal), evaluate your performance on this part of the
design cycle.
Refer to the rubric.
